JR's Baptism

JR was baptized on April 17th. It was a very special day! We are so thankful for JR, and we are so pleased with his choice to be baptized and become a member of the Church!

I wish that I would have taken more pictures. The time just flew by too fast! Here are a few.

Happy Birthday X Two!

JR and Brendan celebrated their birthdays in April. Since their birthdays are so close, we decided to combine their birthday party. JR turned 8 and Brendan turned 2! I can't believe they are getting so big! JR has turned into a little man! He is so grown up! And Brendan... well, what can I say... he's definitely hit those terrible twos!

EmBRACE Your Face!

Christian is in the process of getting braces. His Orthodontist is really great. He is super friendly. I got the title for this post from the t-shirt they gave Christian. It's their motto.

So far he is adapting to the changes well. It helped that my friend Kristen works there and was able to put the first brackets on. That really eased his nerves. He will be getting an appliance put in to help straighten his bite at the end of April. Hopefully, that goes well!

Happy Birthday, Sammy!

Samantha turned 5 years old on February 10th. She is getting to be such a big girl! We love how she is so excited about life. She is learning so much so fast! One of her favorite things to do is ask how to spell words and then write them down. She is definitely going to be ready for kindergarten this fall!


My mother-in-law threw a little birthday party for her at preschool. She had a lot of fun!

Christmas '09

Christmas was great this year. We loved the fact the Christmas fell on Friday. It gave Pher a 3 day weekend! We spent it playing with the kids and their new toys. It was great!

Brendan got a Lightning Mcqueen ride-on toy. He loved it so much I couldn't get him to look at me when I was trying to take pictures!

Sammy got a little Keyboard. She loves to play and sing along with it. She is so adorable sometimes!

She also enjoyed Brendan's present, too!

Christian got an Optimus Prime Powerbot. He has had a blast playing with it!

JR got a Fisher-Price Bat Cave. He loved it! He has such a great imagination!

JR's Lost Tooth

JR FINALLY lost his first tooth last night! (Of course it had to happen right in the middle of our home teachers' lesson! So they got to witness all the excitement along with the rest of us!) We have been wondering when this was going to happen for a very long time. Christian lost his first tooth when he was 6. JR is almost 8!


He was so excited when the Tooth Fairy brought him a dollar! He is such a simple kid! We sure love that about him!

Christmas Lights

For the past few years, we have spent Thanksgiving weekend in Salt Lake. It is always a nice break for us before things get really busy with Pher's work. This year we went to see the Christmas Lights at Temple Square. They were so beautiful!

There were several nativity displays from around the world. They were so cute!

They also had these metal lanterns around the nativity displays. They had such great detail!

Brendan wasn't exactly impressed with the lights. He was not happy in the stroller, so we let him out to walk and he immediately started to crawl on the cement pushing his Lightning McQueen car around. At least it hadn't snowed yet!
