JR's Lost Tooth

JR FINALLY lost his first tooth last night! (Of course it had to happen right in the middle of our home teachers' lesson! So they got to witness all the excitement along with the rest of us!) We have been wondering when this was going to happen for a very long time. Christian lost his first tooth when he was 6. JR is almost 8!


He was so excited when the Tooth Fairy brought him a dollar! He is such a simple kid! We sure love that about him!

Christmas Lights

For the past few years, we have spent Thanksgiving weekend in Salt Lake. It is always a nice break for us before things get really busy with Pher's work. This year we went to see the Christmas Lights at Temple Square. They were so beautiful!

There were several nativity displays from around the world. They were so cute!

They also had these metal lanterns around the nativity displays. They had such great detail!

Brendan wasn't exactly impressed with the lights. He was not happy in the stroller, so we let him out to walk and he immediately started to crawl on the cement pushing his Lightning McQueen car around. At least it hadn't snowed yet!

Thanksgiving '09

This year we held Thanksgiving dinner at our house. It was a beautiful day! We enjoyed having our family celebrate with us, but we missed those who weren't able to be here.

Welcome to the Islands

The third grade put on a program about the Polynesian Islands. It was really neat! The kids did an awesome job! I just wish the video would have turned out better. For some reason, some kid always ended up right in front of Christian, so I couldn't see him very well. :(

Each class learned a dance of one of the island cultures. Christian's class learned one from New Zealand. They used Poi Balls that they had made themselves.

This shot wasn't exactly what I was going for, but it turned out pretty cool.

Crazy Hair Day

Every month the boys' school has a fun dress up day. This month it was Crazy Hair day. The boys were really excited about it!

Halloween '09

On Friday, we took the kids to Main Street to go trick-or-treating. The kids really enjoyed getting outside for a while. The weather turned out nicer than we had expected!

On Halloween, we went to our Ward Trunk-or-Treat. It was fun! The YW in the ward had decorated the stage with a backdrop for pictures. It was way cute!

The kids were not being very cooperative. Someone was goofing off in all the pictures we took! And that was before they got any candy!!!

Pher was Wolverine this year. He really likes to get into character. He grew out his sideburns for a month so he'd look the part!
